By Court - Judgment From all the evidence on record, the following facts were established; 1) That the parties have not lived together for a continuous period of more than 5 years immediately preceeding the presentation of the instant Divorce petition. In fact, the parties have not live together as husband and wife for more than 7 years. 2) The Parties have irreconcilable differences. From the above set of facts, I find and hold that the Ordinance Marriage celebrated between the Parties on the 30th day of October 2010 has broken down beyond reconciliation. The said Ordinance Marriage is accordingly dissolved this 28th day of October 2022. The Registrar of the Court shall issue to the Parties a Divorce Certificate after canceling their Marriage Certificate Exhibit 1. The only child of the Marriage 10 years old Akua Obenewaa shall be in the custody of the Petitioner. The Respondent is granted reasonable access to the said child especially on weekends, holidays and half of school vacations. The Parties are however, at liberty to agree on different terms to custody and access as the needs of their child demands subsequent to this Judgment. The Respondent shall maintain the child by remitting to her Two Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH₵2,000.00) per month through the Petitioner. The Petitioner shall provide supplementary maintenance for the child. The Petitioner shall further provide shelter for the child and give her day to day care, love and support. The Parties shall foot all medical bills of the child equally. The Respondent shall continue to pay all educational bills of the child.
