The Indian Evidence Act, 1872-section 25-confession made to a police officer not to be proved.

$Held:$ -That a tribal retainer is a police officer for the purposes of of this section.

ORDER.—Sentence confirmed accordingly. An admission of guilt made to a tribal retainer is not admissible evidence, as he is a policeman.
