RULING

The Applicant herein has applied to be released on bail pending the hearing and determination of his pending appeal. I note that the Applicant stands convicted by a duly constituted court of law. By his own admission the Applicant is not a citizen of Kenya. He is a Ghanaian national. In my view he is therefore an increased flight risk. I therefore decline to admit the accused to bail pending appeal. However as the proceedings are ready and typed I do hereby admit the appeal to hearing before a single Judge. Mention on 14th August 2012.
