1. I have considered the application dated February 22, 2022 by the advocate/applicant seeking that this court do enter judgment in favour of the applicant/advocate as per the certificate of taxation issued on February 21, 2022 by the deputy registrar against the respondent, the Monarch Insurance Co Ltd together with interest at 14% pa from August 12, 2021. The sum in the certificate of taxation is Kshs 407,116. 50.

2. The applicant also prays for costs of this application.

3. The application was served upon the respondent as per the affidavit of service filed in court but no response has been filed.

4. I allow the application dated February 22, 2022. I enter judgment in favour of the applicant/advocate against the respondent/client, the Monarch Insurance Co Ltd in the sum of Kshs 407,116. 50 plus interest at 14% pa from August 12, 2021 until payment in full.

5. Decree to issue forthwith.

6. Costs of this application to be borne by each party.

7. I so order.
