J U D G E M E N T By Court: Judgment is given in favour of Plaintiff and against the Defendant on Claim one (1). That the Defendant is required to pay to the Plaintiff an amount of GH¢5,000.00. Defendant: My Lord I have made part payment of GH¢1,000.00 into court. I pray to be given up the end of the month for me to clear the balance. Plaintiff: My Lord, I will not forgo the cost nor the interest because the Defendant failed to pay the money at the time he promised and had made me to incur cost in issuing the Writ of Summons. By Court: The GH¢1,000.00 is tendered to Plaintiff in court. Considering all the circumstances of the case, and the economic conditions prevailing currently in the country, the court is of the opinion that a 5% interest is charged at simple interest rate on the remaining balance. Cost of GH¢200.00 is awarded against the Defendant and in favour of the Plaintiff. In total the Defendant is ordered to pay to the Plaintiff an amount of GH¢4,400.00 within one month. (SGD) H/W.
