It is a \hich\af0\dbch\af39\loch\f0 general provision relating to the power of the High Court to grant remedies. Section 14 of the Judicature Act, which deals with the jurisdiction of the High Court, providing that this court is a court of unlimited jurisdiction with jurisdiction in all mat \hich\af0\dbch\af39\loch\f0 t\hich\af0\dbch\af39\loch\f0 ers, may be apt. \par {\listtext\pard\plain\s15 \lang2057\langfe1033\langfenp1033\insrsid7737182\charrsid5052708 \hich\af0\dbch\af39\loch\f0 7.\tab}\hich\af0\dbch\af39\loch\f0 Section 3 of the Children Act provides that the welfare principles and the children\hich\f0 \rquote \loch\f0 s rights set out in the First Schedule to the Act shall be the guiding principles upon which any decision based on the Children Act may be taken. Clearly t\hich\af0\dbch\af39\loch\f0 he decision sought in this application is not founded upon any provisions of the Act, and is thus not directly applicable. The decision is not clear in what circumstances this jurisdiction may be exercised.
