Ruling

1. The Applicant was convicted on his own plea of guilty for offence of Stealing Contrary to Section 275 of the Criminal Procedure Code and accordingly sentenced to imprisonment for (2) years.He invokes the jurisdiction seeking review of the sentence.

2. The Court has thus reviewed the sentence by substituting the two (2) years imprisonment with Community Service at the Mau Summit Chief’s Office for the period remaining in his imprisonment sentence. That is a period of fifteen (15) months from July 4, 2023 to the October 3, 2024.

3It is so ordered.
