RULING
1. This Cause was filed in Court on 29 October 2012.
2. On 16 June 2014, the Claimant requested the Court to order the Labour Office to ascertain whether the Union had met the test for grant of recognition.
3. The Court directed the Labour Office to conduct the exercise and file a report with the Court. The Cause was scheduled for mention on 9 July 2014. None of the parties attended Court on 9 July 2014.
4. On 8 March 2017, the Deputy Registrar issued a Notice to Show Cause why the suit should not be dismissed, with a return date of 6 April 2017, as part of the service week.
5. The Respondents advocate acknowledged receipt of the Notice on 24 March 2017.
6. None of the parties attended Court on 6 April 2017 as required by the Notice.
7. Considering that the Claimant has made no attempt to progress the Cause for over 2 years and its failure to attend Court in response to the Show Cause, the Court orders that the Cause be dismissed with no order as to costs.
