REVISION  RULING

1.    The Applicant LILY LANGAT was fined Kshs.5,000/= in default she was sentenced to three months imprisonment on 25/10/2021 for the offence of being in possession of alcoholic Drinks for sale without a licence Contrary to Section 27(1) (b) as read with Section 27 (4) of the Alcoholic Control Act No.4 of 2010.

2.    The applicant has been in custody for a period of one month and 15 days.

3.    This file was called for revision for purposes of decongesting the women prison.

4.    The Probation Officer filed a sentence Review Report which I have duly considered.

5.    The Applicant is suitable to serve a non-custodial sentence.

6.    Since she is about to finish her sentence, I release her forthwith unless lawfully held for any other.
