Ruling

1. The applicant filed an application vide a letter received on 16th June 2025 seeking a clarification of the Judgement issued by this Court on 22nd February 2024 in Criminal Appeal No. 183 of 2023.

2. From the record, the Judgement of this court delivered on 22nd February 2024 is clear and requires no further interpretation. There is no ambiguity in the said judgement as it spells out that the sentence shall run from the date of conviction having already considered the time spent in remand custody.

3. For avoidance of doubt, the applicant’s sentence of twenty (20) years imprisonment shall run from 23rd November 2016, the date of conviction by the trial court.Orders accordingly.
