1. The applicant approached this court with an application filed on 12th March, 2020 in which he sought orders as follows:a.That may the honorable court consider my humble application hereinb.That may this honorable court be pleased to substitute the remaining sentence of one year a non-custodial sentence or admit me on probationc.That the petitioner herein is reformed, repentant, rehabilitated and remorseful for his learnt hard lessons while in custody

2. The application is anchored on various grounds and an affidavit sworn by the applicant.

Determination. 3. The applicant was charged, convicted and sentenced to 15 years for the offence of manslaughter on 26th October, 2011. On perusal of the record in its entirety and taking into account the element of remission by the prison authorities, the applicant should be released forthwith unless and otherwise lawfully held. The application is hereby marked as spent and the file closed.
