RULING

I have perused the record of the court proceedings and judgement in the lower court case. The Appellant stands convicted of a serious sexual offence in which the minor was a victim. The facts that he is elderly and ailing are not valid grounds for his release on bail. The Appellant is entitled to receive appropriate medical attention whilst in prison. I find no merit in this bail application and the same is hereby denied.
