Ruling

1. The applicant is Stephen Onyango Okinja. He was convicted by this court and sentenced to serve 50 years imprisonment on June 27, 2022 for the murder of the deceased Calvin Ochieng Madote.

2. He was informed of his right of appeal on being sentenced. He now seeks leave of court to appeal as a pauper. He filed notice of appeal on July 8, 2022 within time. I find no evidence of pauperism demonstrated.

3. I decline the request and order that the applicant pays for certified copies of proceedings and judgment and for the preparation of the record of appeal as shall be assessed by the court.

4. I so order. file closed.
