(Being an Application for leave to file an appeal from Siaya HCCRC E001/2020)

Ruling

1. On 26/1/2022 the appellant herein was sentenced to serve 25 years imprisonment upon being convicted for the offence of murder. He now seeks leave of court to file an appeal out of time as a pauper.

2. I find no reason given to the satisfaction of this court for the inordinate delay. There is also no evidence of pauperism.

3. The application is found to be an afterthought and devoid of any merit. It is hereby dismissed.

4. The file is hereby closed.
