The court found that the Claimant failed to prove, on a balance of probabilities, that he was injured at the workplace on 6th March 2015 or that the Respondent was negligent or breached statutory duty. The evidence did not support the particulars of negligence or breach of duty, nor did it establish that the workplace was unsafe or that the Claimant was inadequately equipped or trained. However, the court determined that the Respondent breached the contractual provision on sick leave by failing to pay the Claimant for 15 days on full pay and 15 days on half pay, as required by the contract. The court rejected claims for general damages, compensation for injuries, and salary adjustment due to lack of evidence and statutory support. The only relief granted was payment for the sick leave entitlement, with costs and interest.
