IN THE SUPREME COURT OF SEYCHELLES Criminal Side: CO 24/2013 [2016] SCSC 469 THE REPUBLIC versus TERRENCE SERVINA Accused Heard: Counsel: Mr Vipin, Assistant Principal State Counsel for the Republic Mr Gabriel for the accused Delivered: 23 June 2016 SENTENCE Dodin J [1] I have heard counsel in mitigation. The Convict is 44 years old a father of two minor children. He has pleaded guilty saved the Court a lengthy trial and expenses. He is already serving a life sentence for the offence of trafficking. [2] I note to that the offence of possession in this case contains 6.85 grams of pure drugs which is basically a trace. So taking all that into account I impose a following sentences: Count 2 that is possession of 6.85 grams of diamorphine containing 0.41 grounds of purity. I impose a sentence of 18 months imprisonment. Count 3 assaulting NDEA agents I impose a sentence of 1 year imprisonment. Count 4 obstructing NDEA agents in performance of their duty also 1 year imprisonment. [3] All the sentences would run concurrently as they were in the same transaction and they would also run concurrent to the sentences he is now serving.
