R U L I N G

I have heard the mitigation by the accused person. He is aged 39 years old with five (5) children whom as he said does not know where they are at the moment. He is a first offender and remorseful.

Having perused the file and had the advantage of reading the judgment I am convinced that there was no sufficient cause and basis for the accused to have wounded the deceased.

Taking into totality the mitigation herein as well as the fact that the accused is a first offender and the period he has served in custody, I shall hereby order that the accused do serve a custodial sentence of fifteen (15) years from the date herein.

Orders accordingly.
