Ruling

1. I have considered the nature of the offence committed herein vis a vis the plea bargaining agreement entered. Accused is remorseful. He is a first offender. He has saved court’s time by pleading guilty. The victim’s family has forgiven him after reconciling. However, the deceased was to blame for the whole incident. Precious life was however lost.

2. I find 3 years (three years) imprisonment fair punishment less 1 year 1 month and 11 days being the period spent in remand custody.ROA 14 days.
