RULING

The application dated 8th July 2015 is for bail pending trial.

It is premised on grounds that the applicant is a minor and a form three student at [particulars withheld] Secondary School.  It will be in the interest of his welfare to be released on bail as he will be able to pursue his education.

In support of the application is an affidavit deponed by the applicant where he states inter alia that he is 16 years old and he will abide with the conditions to be imposed by the courts.

The State through learned state counsel did not oppose the application.

There being no reason to deny the applicant bail which is a constitutional right, I hereby grant him bond of Kshs.1,000,000 with a surety in an even sum.

It is so ordered.
