Full Case Text

REPUBLIC  OF  KENYA

IN THE HIGH COURT OF KENYA AT MERU

HIGH COURT CRIMINAL CASE NO. 34 OF 2014

REPUBLIC..............................................................................PROSECUTOR

VERSUS

JEREMY KIOGORA MBAE..........................................................ACCUSED

SENTENCE

I have considered the mitigation offered.  He is first offender and young.  However, considering the circumstances of the commission of offence where he allowed himself to be enlisted for an ominous mission to kill, non-custodial sentence may not be appropriate.

I however take into account that he has been in custody since 2014, I sentence him to save a jail term of 20 years.  The jail term will commence from 21/5/1014 when he was first arraigned in court.  Right of appeal 14 days.  Section 204 complied with.
