S E N T E N C I N G

1. I have considered the mitigation by the accused. The he is remorseful of the act. That he is a first offender. That he was influenced by alcohol and now a strong adherent of SDA thereby leaving his bad old days.

2. I have considered that the accused has been in custody for 3 years.

3. A life was lost at his hands and the Maximum sentence is life. However, having saved the court judicial time, the court will consider that considering the foregoing and that the pre-sentence report which is negative, I hereby sentence the accused to serve (7) years imprisonment.
