SENTENCING

1. I have considered the mitigation of the accused that he is a first offender, a family man and a sole breadwinner.

2. I have also considered the Pre- Sentence Report filed on 13/03/2018. Which is positive.

3. I have considered the circumstances in which the offence occurred. By his deliberate act, a life was lost. He has been in custody for four years.

4. The sentence for murder is death as per the law provided.

5. Taking into consideration all the foregoing, I sentence the accused to Ten(10) years imprisonment.

Right of Appeal 14 days explained.
