Sentence

1. The Court has given due regard to the pre-sentence report dated 25/9/2023 but filed in Court on the 28/9/2023 in line with the Sentence policy in force. The Court has equally appreciated the circumstances of the offence including the fact that the body was partly burnt.

2. Having done so, the Court has taken into account the age of the Accused and the Submissions offered on his behalf by Counsel in mitigation.

3. Taking all into account and appreciating the gravity of the offence, the Accused is committed to serve a prison term of fifteen (15) years to be computed from the May 2, 2015 when he was arrested and committed to custody.
