1. The accused person herein, Martin Kinyanjui, has been convicted upon own plea of the offences of Driving un-insured motor vehicle on a public road Contrary to section 4(1) as read with subsection (2) of the Insurance (Motor Vehicles Third Party Risks) Act, Cap. 405, Laws of Kenya; Driving a PSV Public Road without Inspection Stocker c/s 17A as read with section 29 of the Traffic Act, Cap 403, Laws of Kenya and Operating a Motor Vehicle on a Public Road for Hire or Reward Without Requisite License issued by the Authority C/S 26(1) as read with Sub-Section 7 of the National Transport and Safety Authority Act No. 33 of 2012.

2. He has admitted that on 05/03/2024, at about 06. 30am along Mburu Gichua road in Nakuru County, being the driver of a motor vehicle Reg. KAZ 353 K make Toyota Matatu, he drove the said vehicle along the said road without a valid insurance cover, inspection sticker and license issued by the National Transport and Safety Authority in respect of the said motor vehicle.

3. He is a first-time offender as no previous records were furnished by the prosecutions. He has pleaded for forgiveness. I have looked at the relevant provisions herein and I do hereby fine him as follows: -Count 1: Kshs. 1,500/= in default to serve 4 months imprisonmentCount 2: Kshs. 1,500/= in default to serve 1-month imprisonmentCount 3: Kshs. 2000/= in default to serve 1 month imprisonment

4. Sentences to run consecutively as required and R/A 14 days explained.
