SENTENCE

The court has considered that the accused has been in custody for 3 years. He is a first offender and was about 20 years when he committed the offence.

The court has also considered the gravity of the offence and the manner in which the accused butchered an innocent child and for no reason. The action of slaughtering the innocent being was inhuman and barbaric to say the least.

The accused has not in any way shown to be remorseful and to the court he is certainly a danger to the community, a loose cannon that need to be kept away.

For his unconscionable behavior and in order to give him a chance later in life should he rehabilitate. He is sentenced to serve 25 years in jail.
