Full Case Text
REPUBLIC OF KENYA
IN THE HIGH COURT OF KENYA AT MERU
CRIMINAL CASE NO. 2 OF 2017
REPUBLIC …………..... PROSECUTOR
VERSUS
MARGARET KARAMBU …ACCUSED
RULING
I have considered the application for bail. Bail or bond is a Constitutional right of every accused unless there are compelling reasons why not to grant.
I have seen and considered the pre-bail report filed in Court on 05/04/2017. The same is positive of the accused. There is nothing disclosed to be compelling reason not to grant bail.
Accordingly, I admit the accused to bond. She is to be released on bond of KShs.200,000/= with a surety of a similar amount.
Hearing on 19/06/2017. The State be served.
DATED, SIGNED AND DELIVERED THIS 10TH DAY OF APRIL, 2017.
