Sentence

1. Having given due regard to the submissions offered on behalf of the two accused person together with the pre-sentence reports dated 27/9/2023 but filed in court on 28/9/2023 and while bearing in mind he fact that the accused person were parents to the deceased upon whom care and protection was an obligation, the court disapproves the ill and inhuman treatment the two visited upon the deceased.

2. On that account both are committed to serve a prison term of fifteen (15) years each.

3. The term shall run from the 22. 6.2022 being the date both were arrested and committed to custody.
