This is an application by way of Notice of Motion dated 12th August 2010 filed by the ex-parte applicant Joseph Kavindu Mutemi. It was filed under Order 53 Rule 1, 3 and 4 of the Civil Procedure Rules, as well as Section 8 and 9 of the Law Reform Act. It is an application for mandamus to compel the Permanent Secretary for Internal Security to settle the decretal amount.

The application is not opposed. On the hearing date, the Attorney-General did not appear.

Since the application is not opposed, I allow the application and grant the two prayers sought.
