SENTENCING

1. I have considered the mitigation by the accused, that he is a first offender. That he has been in custody since 2012. I have considered that a life was brutally terminated by the accused without provocation as can be seen from the proceedings.

2. Considering that the accused has been in custody for close to 8 years I sentence him to serve 25 years imprisonment to run from the date of his first sentence.
