ORDER ON REVISION

1. Both convicts herein SHAMIRA LESHAU and NARIKUNI LESHAU were on 24. 10. 19 sentenced to 3 years imprisonment each for the offence of performing female genital mutilation contrary to Section 19(1) as read with Section 29 of the Prohibition of Female Genital Mutilation, Act No.32 of 2011 and aiding and abetting the offence contrary to Section 20(a) of the same Act, respectively.

2. Despite the current Coronavirus (COVID – 19) emergency, I am not satisfied that this case is suitable for intervention by this court in exercise of its revisionary powers under Sections 362 and 364 of the Criminal Procedure Code.  It is so ordered.
