Judgment

1. The appellant was charged and convicted for the offence of obtaining money by false pretences contrary to section 313 of the Penal Code. He was sentenced to pay a fine of 300,000 in default to serve 2 years imprisonment. Being aggrieved, she filed an appeal challenging her conviction and sentence.

2. On 22nd April 2024, when the matter came up for hearing of the appeal, the appellant was absent and failed to prosecute her appeal.

3. Consequently, the appeal is dismissed for want of prosecution.Orders accordingly.
