ADGM Courts, Civil Evidence, Judgments, Enforcement and Judicial Appointments Regulations 2015 - Amendment No 1 of 2023 ADGM COURTS, CIVIL EVIDENCE, JUDGMENTS, ENFORCEMENT AND JUDICIAL APPOINTMENTS REGULATIONS 2015 - AMENDMENT NO 1 OF 2023 Date of Enactment: 8 November 2023 The Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Global Market, in exercise of its powers under Article 6(1) of Law No. 4 of 2013 concerning the Abu Dhabi Global Market, as amended, issued by His Highness the Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, hereby enacts the following Regulations – Amendments to ADGM Courts, Civil Evidence, Judgments, Enforcement and Judicial Appointments Regulations 2015 The ADGM Courts, Civil Evidence, Judgments, Enforcement and Judicial Appointments Regulations 2015 are amended as follows: (1) A new section 4A shall be inserted as follows: “4A Expansion of jurisdiction to Al Reem Island The exclusive jurisdiction conferred on the Court of First Instance to consider and decide on matters according to the seventh paragraph of Article (13) of the ADGM Founding Law is extended, with effect from 24 April 2023, to include both Al Maryah and Al Reem Islands.” (2) A new section 20(5A) shall be inserted as follows: “An application for judicial review in relation to a decision by the Board, including an ADGM enactment, may only be made on the ground that the Board has acted outside the powers granted to it under the ADGM Founding Law.” (3) Section 96(3)(a) shall be amended to read as follows: “(a) impose on him a fine not exceeding AED 200,000,000;” 1
