ADGM Court Procedure Rules Amendment No 2 of 2022 ADGM COURT PROCEDURE RULES AMENDMENT NO 1 OF 2022 Date of Enactment: 4 October 2022 The Chief Justice of the ADGM Courts, having power under section 187 of the ADGM Courts, Civil Evidence, Judgments, Enforcement and Judicial Appointments Regulations 2015 to make court procedure rules, makes the following Rules – Amendments to ADGM Court Procedure Rules 2016 The ADGM Court Procedure Rules are amended as follows: (1) A new Rule 205(2) shall be inserted as follows: “(2) The appeal shall be determined by a single Judge unless the Judge who is assigned the appeal considers, having regard to the circumstances of the case and the matters to be decided in the appeal, that the appeal should be determined by three Judges.”, and the subsequent paragraphs shall be renumbering accordingly. (2) In Rule 206(2) the words “to the Court of First Instance” shall be inserted after the words “An application for permission to appeal must, in accordance with the relevant practice direction, be made”. (3) In sub-Rules 206(2)(a) and (b) the words “to the Court of Appeal” shall be deleted. (4) In sub-Rule 206(2)(c) the words “to the Court of First Instance or the Court of Appeal” shall be deleted. (5) In Rule 206(4) the reference to “(c)” shall be deleted. - End - 1
