Information technology products or services aimed at children and adolescents, or likely to be accessed by them, must prioritize their protection and best interests and use appropriate, proportionate measures for privacy, data protection, and security. Providers of information technology products or services aimed at, or likely to be accessed by, children and adolescents must provide parental supervision tools, related information, clear notices, and time-limiting features. Tech providers must use effective age-control measures to block minors from accessing inappropriate or prohibited content, and they cannot rely on self-declaration.
