This Law takes effect on the date it is published. O Poder Executivo fica autorizado a conceder pensão especial mensal, vitalícia e intransferível a pessoas atingidas pela hanseníase que tenham sido submetidas, até 31/12/1986, a isolamento ou internação em hospitais-colônia, mediante requerimento. O Ministério da Saúde, o INSS e a Secretaria Especial dos Direitos Humanos da Presidência da República podem celebrar convênios, acordos, ajustes ou outros instrumentos para cooperar com órgãos públicos e entidades privadas sem fins lucrativos.
