About this statute

This article bans manufacturing, selling, distributing, or importing covered products with lead concentration at or above 0.06%, with stated exceptions. This Act enters into force 180 days after its publication. If the manufacturer or importer fails to comply with this law, they may receive a notice, the product may be seized, and a fine may be imposed equal to the value of the seized goods. This provision sets the maximum allowed lead content for certain paints, varnishes, and similar surface coatings. The deadline to commercialize the stock products covered by Article 1 is 365 days from publication of this Law.
