Statute overview

About this statute

A Receita Federal do Brasil may verify non-preferential origin during customs clearance or post-clearance customs inspections, and may apply pecuniary penalties when applicable. This article revokes Article 6 of Decree-Law No. 1,593/1977, starting when Articles 14 to 20 of this Law enter into force. O artigo diz que o Reintegra se aplica às exportações realizadas; o inciso II aparece como vetado. From 1 January 2028, unfinished civil construction works must collect the contributions referred to in items I and III of article 22 of Law 8,212/1991. The reduction in Article 5 applies to certain foreign-origin products, but only within the stated limits, conditions, and international-agreement constraints.
