About this statute

Activities linked to enology and viticulture are allowed throughout the country, subject to this Law. An enologist may be technically responsible for establishments if the contract term provides for producing products that meet the PIQs set by the official body. Two groups may practice as Técnico em Enologia: holders of recognized Brazilian secondary-level Enology diplomas, and holders of foreign Enology diplomas that are revalidated in Brazil. This law enters into force on the date it is published. Only specified diploma holders may exercise the profession of Enólogo.
