(Consolidated up to 21/2016) ALBERTA REGULATION 145/2009 Office of Statistics and Information Act office of statistics and information regulation Mandatory census or survey 1 The Minister shall not determine that a census or survey is mandatory unless the Minister considers that one of the following applies to it: (a) it is required to fulfill a specific requirement of federal or Alberta legislation; (b) its purpose is to collect data that are expected to have a direct influence on the development, implementation or management of government programs or policies and a mandatory census or survey is needed to provide the quality of data required for this purpose. 2 Repealed AR 21/2016 s2. Coming into force 3 This Regulation comes into force on the coming into force of the Statistics Bureau Amendment Act, 2008 .
