(no amdt) ALBERTA REGULATION 116/2018 Post‑secondary Learning Act SESSIONAL FACULTY REGULATION Definition 1 For the purposes of section 1(c) of the Act, (a) “employee” may, in accordance with the bylaws of an academic staff association under section 86(2) of the Act, include a sessional instructor or a category of sessional instructors for an additional period of up to 12 months following the expiry or termination of employment as a sessional instructor; (b) “sessional instructor” means an instructor who, as a member of a category of employees or individually, is designated as an academic staff member in accordance with the Act and is employed for a fixed term of employment.
