Minister may make grants 2 The Minister of Municipal Affairs may make grants to elected authorities or other bodies to conduct a vote under the Alberta Senate Election Act . Grant amounts for municipality 3 (1) Where no election under the Local Authorities Election Act is required in a municipality or ward, the elected authority or other body that conducts the vote under the Alberta Senate Election Act in that municipality or ward shall be paid a grant of $2.00 per capita or $2000, whichever is greater.
