L175 Regulation 11/97 Registered January 24, 1997 bilingual version (HTML) Definitions 1 In this Regulation, "Act" means The Livestock Industry Diversification Act ; (« Loi ») "elk" means (a) Cervus elaphus manitobensis (Manitoban Elk), (b) Cervus elaphus nannodes (Tule Elk), (c) Cervus elaphus nelsoni (Rocky Mountain Elk), (d) Cervus elaphus roosevelti (Roosevelt Elk), or (e) crossbreeds of animals referred to in clauses (a) to (d). (« wapiti ») Elk prescribed as game production animals 2 Pursuant to subsection 33(1) of the Act, elk are prescribed as game production animals. Review 3 Not later than November 30, 1999, the minister shall (a) review the effectiveness of the operation of this regulation and, in the course of that review, consult with such persons affected by it as the minister considers appropriate; and (b) recommend to the Lieutenant Governor in Council that the regulation be amended, continued or repealed. Coming into force 4 This regulation comes into force on proclamation of the Act.
