Local Government Districts Incorporation and Boundaries Regulation, M.R. 40/97 The Local Government Districts Act , C.C.S.M. c. L190 Regulation 40/97 Registered February 28, 1997 bilingual version (HTML) Definition 1 In this regulation, "LGD" means a local government district incorporated under The Local Government Districts Act . Boundaries and rivers and streams 2 The boundaries of an LGD bordering on a river or stream include ½ of the river or stream adjacent to the LGD and extend to the centre of the river or stream, and if the area of any LGD spans both sides of a river or stream, the whole of the surface and bed of that part of the river or stream that lies within the boundaries of the LGD is included in the LGD. Boundaries defined by parcels 3 Where an LGD has boundaries that are defined by parcels, any government road allowance, or any portion of it, located on the western or southern limit of the LGD or entirely within the LGD is included within the LGD. Incorporation of communities as LGDs 4 For the purpose of Part II (Industrial Townsites) of the Act, the inhabitants of each community named in a section heading of the Schedule are hereby incorporated as a local government district, with the boundaries defined in that section of the Schedule. Repeal 5 The Local Government Districts Incorporation and Boundaries Regulation , Manitoba Regulation 565/88 R, is repealed. SCHEDULE (Section 4) Definitions 1 In this Schedule, "EPM" means East of the Principal Meridian; (« E.M.P. ») "WPM" means West of the Principal Meridian. (« O.M.P. ») Sections, townships, ranges, and numbers 2 The "sections", "townships" and "ranges" referred to in this Schedule are sections, townships and ranges in Manitoba, according to the systems of survey authorized by The Dominion Lands Surveys Act (Canada) (now repealed) and by The Surveys Act and used by the Government of Manitoba, and the numbers of the sections, townships, and ranges are numbers assigned to them according to those systems. L.G.D. of Mystery Lake 3 The territory shown bordered in red on Director of Surveys Plan 8432 at Winnipeg and shown bordered by wide broken lines on Director of Surveys Plan 8432A at Winnipeg, excepting Firstly; all those portions of Townships 74, 75 and 76 - 3 WPM, all those portions of Townships 74 and 75 - 4 WPM, and all those portions of Townships 75 - 5 WPM including land and land covered by water, contained within the limits of Paint Lake Provincial Recreation Area as same is shown on Director of Surveys Plan 17350A at Winnipeg, Secondly; Section 5 in unsurveyed Township 71 - 7 WPM, and Thirdly; the City of Thompson. LGD of Pinawa 4 East halves of Sections 12 and 13 in Township 14 - 10 EPM; all Sections 1, 2, 3, 9 to 28 and all those portions of Sections 4, 5, 8 and 29 lying East of the Winnipeg River in Township 14 - 11 EPM; all those portions of Township 13 - 12 EPM lying North of the Winnipeg River; all Sections 1, 2, 3, 6 to 11, 14 to 23, 26, 27, and 28, all those portions of Sections 4 and 5 lying North of the Winnipeg River, all those portions of Section 12 lying South of the Winnipeg River and Pinawa Channel, and all that portion of Section 29 lying East of the Pinawa Channel, in Township 14 - 12 EPM; excepting out of South West 1/4 of said Section 18 in Township 14 - 11 EPM, the most Northerly 482 feet in perpendicular depth of the most Southerly 782 feet in perpendicular depth of the most Westerly 361.5 feet in perpendicular width thereof.
