(« majorité des services assurés ») Act applies to chiropractic services 1.1 For the purpose of section 71 of the Act, the Act applies to the chiropractic services described in section 2 when provided by a chiropractor entitled to practice in the place the service is provided. M.R. 242/94 Insured chiropractic services 2 Except as provided in the Excluded Services Regulation , Manitoba Regulation 46/93, the adjustment of the human spinal column, pelvis and extremities are insured chiropractic services whether provided in or outside of Manitoba. M.R. 154/96 Benefits 3 The amount of the benefit to be paid in respect of insured chiropractic services is as follows: (a) for the first and for each subsequent visit and treatment provided by a chiropractor (i) April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016 (b) for the first and for each subsequent visit and treatment provided by a chiropractor serving northern Manitoba (i) April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016 3.1 [Repealed] M.R. 109/97; 125/2002 Maximum yearly benefit 4 Notwithstanding section 3, the maximum benefit payable in a calendar year for an insured person shall not exceed the total benefit payable for seven insured chiropractic services, based on the amounts set out in section 3. M.R. 154/96; 76/2017 Payment conditional on receipt or account 5(1) It is a condition of payment for insured chiropractic services provided outside Manitoba that within six months from the date on which the services were provided the insured person submit to the minister an itemized receipt or account that shows the services provided and the fees paid or payable. 5(2) The minister may extend the time referred to in subsection (1) if in the minister's opinion there are extenuating circumstances that prevented the filing of the claim within the six month period. 5(3) Rather than making payment directly to an insured person for chiropractic services provided outside Manitoba, the minister may pay the person who provided the services if the insured person has not paid the fees for the services provided. Payment for a dependant 6 When an insured person is a dependant who is entitled to payment under this regulation, payment may be made to the family registrant. Coming into force 7 This regulation comes into force on March 31, 1993.
