(« sac gonflable reconstruit ») Standards and requirements for air bags 2 Air bags installed or in use in vehicles registered in Manitoba, or in the possession of a person in Manitoba for such installation or use, must not be rebuilt air bags. Vehicle standards re air bags 3 A vehicle (a) registered in Manitoba must not be equipped with a rebuilt air bag; or (b) operated on a highway in Manitoba must not be equipped with a rebuilt air bag unless the vehicle is registered in a jurisdiction outside Manitoba and the laws of the jurisdiction permit the vehicle to be so equipped. Prohibited activities re air bags 4(1) No person shall install a rebuilt air bag in a vehicle or cause one to be installed in a vehicle. 4(2) No person shall possess a rebuilt air bag for the purpose of installing it in a vehicle or causing it to be installed in a vehicle. 4(3) No person shall rebuild a vehicle's air bag after it has been deployed. 4(4) No person shall sell or trade, or distribute with or without consideration, rebuilt air bags for use in Manitoba. 4(5) No person shall trade, distribute with or without consideration, sell, offer for sale or have in possession for sale a vehicle that is equipped with a rebuilt air bag. 4(6) No person shall register a vehicle in Manitoba that is equipped with a rebuilt air bag. 4(7) No person shall operate a vehicle on a highway if the vehicle is equipped with a rebuilt air bag, unless the vehicle (a) is registered in a jurisdiction outside Manitoba and the laws of the jurisdiction permit the vehicle to be so equipped; and (b) otherwise complies with the requirements of the Act and regulations.
