(«  Loi  ») "reporting entity record" means a record made under the Act that is in the custody or control of a reporting entity. (« dossier ») Designation of reporting entity 2 The Canadian Centre for Child Protection Inc. is designated as a reporting entity for the purpose of receiving reports of child pornography under subsection 18(1.0.1) of the Act. Duty to adopt security safeguards 3 Subject to the provisions of the Act and standards established by the director, a reporting entity shall ensure that the information in a reporting entity record is (a) protected by the reporting entity adopting reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards that ensure the confidentiality, security, accuracy and integrity of the information; and (b) accessible only to persons employed, retained or consulted by the reporting entity and only when access to the record is needed to carry out their responsibilities under the Act. Retention of reporting entity records 4 A reporting entity shall ensure that a reporting entity record is retained by the reporting entity for the period of time and in the manner set out in standards established by the director. Destruction of reporting entity records 5(1) A reporting entity shall ensure that if a reporting entity record is destroyed, it is destroyed (a) in accordance with procedures set out in standards established by the director; and (b) in a manner that protects the privacy of the informant and all others to whom the record relates. Record of destruction 5(2) A reporting entity that destroys a reporting entity record shall keep a record of (a) the informant and all others to whom the record relates and the time period to which the record relates; and (b) the method of destruction and the person responsible for supervising the destruction. Coming into force 6 This regulation comes into force on the same day that The Child and Family Services Amendment Act (Child Pornography Reporting) , S.M. 2008, c. 9, comes into force.
