E125 Regulation 89/88 R Registered January 29, 1988 bilingual version (HTML) Definitions 1 In this regulation, "campground" means a tract or parcel of land accessible by road, on which persons are permitted to erect or park camping units, but does not include a mobile home park; (« terrain de camping ») "camping unit" includes a tent, vehicle or trailer equipped with sleeping facilities; (« unité de camping ») "mobile home park" means a tract or parcel of land where three or more trailers that are used as a dwelling for permanent or year-round living are parked and are connected to a water distribution and sewage system; (« parc de maisons mobiles ») "overflow area" means any location within a campground which is occasionally, but not regularly, used for camping accommodation; (« aire d'appoint ») "serviced site" means an area of land within a campground which is designed to accommodate one camping unit and which has sewer connection facilities. (« emplacement viabilisé ») Garbage containers and removal 2(1) Every operator of a campground shall provide a number of easily accessible, tightly covered or closed, impervious garbage containers with sufficient total capacity to contain garbage generated within the campground between collections. 2(2) Every operator of a campground shall, at least once per week, remove all garbage from the campground to a registered waste disposal ground. Toilet facilities 3(1) Every operator of a campground shall, for that part of the campground which does not have serviced sites, provide toilet facilities in accordance with Schedule A. 3(2) Where toilet facilities in a campground are provided in a central building serviced with water under pressure, the operator shall also provide hand washing facilities in accordance with Schedule A. 3(3) Every operator of a campground shall provide toilet facilities for an overflow area in accordance with Schedule B, and where those facilities are provided in a central building serviced with water under pressure, hand washing facilities in accordance with Schedule B shall also be provided. Potable water requirements 4 If a supply of potable water is made available to patrons of a campground, the operator of the campground shall comply with all applicable requirements of The Drinking Water Safety Act and the regulations made under that Act. M.R. 60/2013 Coming into force 5 This regulation comes into force on the later of (a) the date The Environment Act c. 26 of The Statutes of Manitoba 1987-88 comes into force; or (b) the date this regulation is filed with the Registrar of Regulations.
