F47 Regulation 184/2000 Registered December 22, 2000 bilingual version (HTML) Definitions 1 In this regulation, "extra-provincial board" means the Canadian Turkey Marketing Agency; (« conseil extra-provincial ») "turkey" means turkey of any variety, grade or class. (« dindon ») Delegation of powers 2 The extra-provincial board is authorized to promote, regulate and control the marketing of turkey locally within Manitoba. For that purpose, it may exercise the same or similar powers that it is authorized to exercise respecting the marketing of turkey in interprovincial or export trade under clauses 22(1)⁠(a) and (d) of the Farm Products Agencies Act (Canada). Levies 3 In relation to the marketing of turkey locally within Manitoba, the extra-provincial board may make regulations (a) imposing levies on producers of turkey that are payable to it or on its behalf; and (b) providing for the collection, as its agent, of those levies and providing for the remission of the levies to it by any person engaged in marketing turkey. 3(2) A regulation made under subsection (1) is not effective until it is approved by the Manitoba Turkey Producers. Inspection of records 4 During normal office hours, the extra-provincial board shall make available to an auditor designated by the minister all books of account, records and documents relating to money it receives under this regulation and expenditures it makes of money derived in whole or in part from money received under this regulation. M.R. 115/2025 Non-application 5 This regulation does not apply to a person who is exempt from registering with the Manitoba Turkey Producers under subsection 27(3) of the Manitoba Turkey Producers' Marketing Plan Regulation with respect to turkey the person raises and delivers directly to an individual for consumption by that individual or his or her immediate family.
