F47 Regulation 237/87 R Registered June 22, 1987 bilingual version (HTML) 1 In this regulation, "chicken broiler" means a chicken of any variety, grade or class which is at least ten days of age but not more than five months of age, not raised for egg production, and includes fryers and roasting chickens; (« poulet à griller ») "extra-provincial board" means the Canadian Chicken Marketing Agency constituted under the Farm Products Marketing Agencies Act (Canada). (« extra-provincial board ») 2 The Lieutenant Governor in Council hereby authorizes the extra-provincial board to promote, regulate and control the marketing of chicken broilers locally within Manitoba, and, for such purpose, to exercise all or any powers like the powers exercisable by it with respect to the marketing of chicken broilers in inter-provincial or export trade under clause 23(1)⁠(a) of the Farm Products Marketing Agencies Act (Canada). 3(1) The Lieutenant Governor in Council hereby vests in the extra-provincial board, in relation to the marketing of chicken broilers locally within Manitoba, the power to make regulations (a) imposing levies payable to it, or on its behalf, on producers of chicken broilers; and (b) providing for the collection as its agent of such levies and the remission thereof to it, by any person engaged in marketing chicken broilers. 3(2) No regulation made under subsection (1) shall become effective until approved by The Manitoba Chicken Broiler Producers' Marketing Board. 4 The extra-provincial board shall, at any time during normal officer hours, make available to such auditor as the Minister of Agriculture may designate, all books of account, records and documents relating to the receipt of funds pursuant to this regulation and expenditures made by the extra-provincial board of moneys derived in whole or in part from funds received by the extra-provincial board pursuant to this regulation. 5 This regulation does not apply to any person who is exempt from registering with The Manitoba Chicken Broiler Producers' Marketing Board under subsection 27(3) of the Manitoba Chicken Broiler Producers' Marketing Plan Regulation with respect to any chicken broiler raised by that person and delivered by him directly to an individual for consumption by that individual and his immediate family or any one of them.
