S.M. 1995, c. 33, s. 15 . Rate set 2 The Lieutenant Governor in Council may, by regulation, set the tax payable in respect of each mining claim. Notice 3 Where the tax payable under section 1 has not been received by the Minister of Finance by December 31, the minister responsible for the administration of The Mines and Minerals Act may send to the owner and any lessee of the mining claim, a notice that the tax is in default and that in default of payment within 30 days of the mailing of the notice, the mining claim will be forfeited to His Majesty in right of Manitoba.
